June 1, 2026 – Barrett Valuation Services is pleased to announce that John E. Barrett, Jr., CPA, ABV, CBA, CVA, MST, MBA, has been elected to serve on the Valuation Credentialing Board (VCB) of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) for a three-year term beginning June 1, 2026, and ending May 31, 2029.
The VCB is responsible for overseeing the standards, policies, examination processes, and continuing competency requirements associated with NACVA’s Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential.
John has been actively engaged in business valuation since 1995 and brings decades of experience as a valuation practitioner, educator, author, and expert witness. His extensive service to the profession includes leadership roles with NACVA, the AICPA, and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs.
